About Me

The word photography derives from the Greek φωτός (phōtos), genitive of φῶς (phōs), "light" and γραφή (graphé) "representation by means of lines" or "drawing", together meaning "drawing with light".

My entry into the world of photography started with a Kodak Hawkeye Brownie camera. I still remember the excitement of loading my first roll of 120 film. I have been hooked ever since.

My carer in photography over the years has evolved from weddings and portraits to street photography and everything in between. It's important to challange yourself when it comes to developing your style and improving your ability. To try new things and expand your way of looking at how composition can add or detract from the image you are capturing.

Knowing when less or more can add or detract from the image is what creates your style and makes every photographer different.

I choose to use 35mm, medium format film and digital camers for my projects. Each of these formats offer different advantages demending on the story I'm trying to tell with my images.
